October Craziness!

Mi Casa Su Casa
October has been a crazy month for us. It has literally flown by. I keep thinking I need to update my blog, but then time just hasn't permitted. I guess the kids getting to bed and the kitchen getting cleaned really are important and do come before updating the blog.
This month we had the honor of hosting some dear friends of ours. They spent a total of 8 days with us off and on throughout the month. They are the ones who have graciously allowed us to live in their house until it sells or until the Lord leads us on. Shana and I have been friends since 2002, before we both got married. They are now overseas and we all are missing them very much!
This is them and their entourage as they were loading up and heading to the airport. Here is Naomi and Truette sitting in the driveway as they were getting the last of their things packed and ready for the trip.
Did I mention that they are GA Tech fans!
We love you guys and will miss you!

Love Loud
Our Church did an event this past week called Love Loud. It could be described as a mission trip in your own back yard. There were several groups in the church reaching out to our community in a number of different ways. Some of the ministry projects included car care, haircuts, carpentry, painting, and much more to help people in our community with needs. Our Sunday school class decided to partner with a Medical/Dental team that was offering free medical and dental help! This team of doctors decided to use their training as a way to share the gospel with people in the community. They set up a clinic in the basement of the B building at church and after people were registered they would come through the evangelism department. That is where Davin and I were serving. We got to explain to people how we cared about them and their physical needs, but that they also had a spiritual need as well. I was able to sit down and share with two different women who both prayed with me to receive Christ as their savior! What an amazing experience.
