Hudson's 3rd Birthday

September 27th 2007

Hudson woke up to a gift from Mom and Dad. His very own "Mack" truck from the movie cars. He loves this truck. His friend David Jr. has one, and Hudson asks if he can go to David's house to play with Mack. Since Thursday morning Mack has been by Hudson's side!

Hudson's birthday party was a blast! He had a huge crowd attend. He and his friends jumped around in a bounce house (Thanks Armstrong Family!) ate cake and had a great time playing outside. Thanks to all his friends who came and endured the heat. It was 92 degrees that afternoon!
This is a shot of Hudson's birthday cake!

Here is Hudson opening all his presents!

Charolettesville, VA

Davin and I love to go to Charolettesville. If you've never been, it is a fun place to go. The University of Virginia is there and it is surrounded by a neat little town with great architecture and history. It's a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. For Davin's birthday I was able to get FREE tickets to go see the GA Tech Yellow Jackets play at Virginia. My sister Amy got us tickets from a friend. As you can see, the seats were great and we had a blast. Davin's parents and grandparents came up and watched the kids for us. How wonderful to have Davin all to myself that day!

Hudson and Naomi

Here's Naomi cheering on the Yellow Jackets...
Gooooo Jackets!

Here are two of my best photos of the two of them. They are growing so fast! Hudson adores Naomi and loves to play with her. She follows him around the house wherever he goes. Davin took this picture. I have no idea how he got the two of them to sit still long enough to take this photo. Hudson loves to make sure that Naomi stays out of trouble. If Naomi screams in the car he says, "No ma'am, inside voice."
Naomi has been waving bye-bye and blowing kisses off the back of her hand. She can stand on her own for a few seconds, but no steps yet. I'm sure she'll be walking soon!

Some Recent Artwork

I thought some of you would like to see what I have been up to lately. I don't have much time for painting these days, but I have been able to do some work while the kids are sleeping. Here are some photos of my recent work. I look forward to the day when I will be able to paint murals and scripture verses on the walls of our home.

Some may be hard to see. I painted the designs on the letters.
This one is for a little boys room.

I painted this shelf to match a certain decor.

Our Proud Cubbie

Here is Hudson wearing his cubbie vest and holding his cubbie workbook. He just started the AWANA program at church and is doing very well. It's amazing to hear him repeat and apply the scripture he is learning. He loves going to cubbies!
