The Flu

So it all started with Hudson on Wednesday morning when he woke up with a fever. I took him to the Doctors and he wouldn't even sit up when the Doctor came in to check him out. He was running a fever of 103. We have all been home resting and taking tamiflu. The rest of us seem to be fighting off some flu-like symptoms as well. Since we are taking the tamiflu it's not as bad. What's crazy to me is how sickness can completely change your entire schedule. We've had to call so many people to rearrange or reschedule our time. It seems that we are not the only ones fighting the flu or some type of illness right now. The Lord has been gracious to us in the fact that Davin hasn't missed work or school and he just happened to be off on Friday and Monday. We should get back on our feet soon and re-join the rest of the world.

Well, here we are nearing the end of what will be our Seminary experience. I can honestly say it has been one of the most challanging steps of faith we have taken so far in our marriage. We have grown closer as a couple, a family, and to the Lord. And as many of you have said, it has been filled with very sweet memories. We look forward and feel more ready than ever to step out and serve the Lord in a new capasity. At the same time, I am so very sad to think of all the dear friends we will leave here in Wake Forest, NC.

Here is a very cute photo of Naomi wearing her doggie bucket on her head. She sure thought she was pretty in it as she pranced around the room. This was a shot of Hudson after we had gone grocery shopping. And yes he wore his tool man belt, goggles, and hat through the store.
He spent the rest of the day fixing things around the house.
Here is Hudson on his first day of homeschooling Pre-school. Naomi enjoyed it as much as he did! I thought I would give it a try. My dear friend Corey loaned me a cirrculum that she went through with her son, and my neighbor and friend Chandra and I have been working together on it now. We take turns teaching and her daughter Madelyn and Hudson have a great time being together.
Here he is doing his first self-portrait.

I thought I would add this one in for fun! Hudson gave himself a crayon mustache. How handsome!
